The Department of Environmental Science, Integral University commemorated an enlightening guest lecture on 18th July, 2024 titled “Mission Life Awareness Programme on Waste Management for Sustainable Lifestyle” in Hall-1. The aim of lecture is to disclose the latent impact of making small changes in our daily habits and ultimately inspiring others to follow, creating a mass movement to protect the earth and it’s less privileged inhabitants.
Ms. Anuradha Gupta, Founder & General Secretory, Prithivi Innovations (NGO), Lucknow, graced the occasion as the distinguished guest speaker, delivered valuable insights by giving live sessions example how we reduce the solid waste at the point source so that it will not mingle with other type of waste and become a problematic issue. She also demonstrated an exhibition in which her team kept different types of items which were made up of biodegradable and reuse items.
Around 40 participants attended the interactive session which allowed attendees to engage in meaningful discussions on a spectrum of topics. Ms. Anuradha told us how we can easily use the biodegradable items by our self-determination by giving examples like we can use cloth bags in place of polythene bags, we can make hanging planters by using waste plastic bottles. Her lecture was very informative and inspiring, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. The Programme was observed under the guidance of Dr. Abdul Rahman Khan, Dean Faculty of Science and Controller of Examinations. Dr. Ambrina sardar Khan, Head, Department of Environmental Science. Prof. Saba Siddiqui, Head of Integral Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology. The program was successfully coordinated by Team Environmental Science. The program ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Ambrina Sardar Khan, Head, Department of Environmental Science, to the authorities, speaker, students, and to the organizing team.
