Webinar on Future of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency

The current era of newly evolving technologies facilitate human being for rapid move towards digital pathway for quotidian personal and business deeds. Information, the backbone of any business, plays a dynamic role for developing business strategies to attain the goals therefore the biggest need is to retain the information absolute and unambiguous. Blockchain has become the standard and perfect technology for delivering and distributing this information in the easiest way because it provides instant, mutual and entirely crystal clear information stored on an immutable ledger that can be accessed only by consented network members. The major objective of Blockchain Technology is to permit digital information to be recorded and distributed, but not edited. To make aware and educate to the students, academicians, and researchers with the importance of Blockchain Technology, The Department of Computer Application has taken an another initiation to form an association with Virtual Institution, The Crypto University, dealing with the same technology, through organizing a Webinar on 26th of April, 2022 in between 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. The webinar was conducted through Zoom Platform and was hosted and co-ordinated by Dr. Sandeep Kumar Nayak, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Application.

The webinar began with the welcome note by Dr. Sandeep Kumar Nayak, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Application. The speakers invited for the webinar were:

1. Mr Ajoy Pathak who is a Digital Assets and Blockchain enthusiast and have been in Cryptocurrency learning and education space since 2017. With a career in research into financial services, trading and risk management spanning over two decades, Ajoy adds value with his comprehensive experience of the financial markets while motivating the students to understand, learn and innovate in this space to become leaders of tomorrow.

2. Mr. Devesh Chawla who is an ingenious strategist, a mentor, TEDx speaker, an investor and an efficient leader. He is known for his brisk planning and execution. He is the founder and CEO of Chatur Ideas and Advisor with Crypto University. He has been felicitated with multiple national and international awards.

Some Core Topics that were covered by the invited speakers include:

  • Introduction to Blockchain Technology and its influence on Human society and Financial markets.
  • Introduction to Distributed Ledger Technology and Smart Contracts.
  • The changing economic and job-oriented scenario around the globe after the introduction and deployment of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency in industries and markets.

The findings showed that the Blockchain Technololgy has the potential to add $1756.5 billion economy and about 40 billion jobs globally by 2030 and in India the digital asset economy's value to GDP will grow at 43.1 per cent CAGR (compound annual growth rate) -- from $5.1 billion in 2021 to $261.8 billion over an 11-year period, resulting in a $1.1 trillion contribution to India's GDP. The webinar was aimed at making the students, research scholars, faculty members and staff aware about the Blockchain Technology and Cryptocurrency. It was not only a job and research-oriented webinar focusing students and scholars but also it focused in making a clear market and economical position in front of the audience so that its efficiency and advantages are presented positively. It presented a critical and influential impact of Blockchain and cryptocurrency for financial purposes, job creations and human society, healthcare etc so that one may make themselves updated to enter the new crypto era and experience another Eureka moment. The webinar was concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Sandeep Kumar Nayak. More than 1000+ students, research scholars, faculty and supporting staff showed active and enthusiastic participation in the webinar making it a grand success. The participants appreciated the presentation & professional knowledge shared by the experts during the lecture.
