The Department of Allied & Healthcare Sciences, Forensic Sciences (IIAHSR) organized a Guest Lecture on 27th February 2026 on the topic “Inside a Crime Scene: Science, Evidence and Truth Behind Criminal Investigations” with a purpose of enlightenment of Crime Scene Investigation and techniques used in Crime Scene Investigation. Speaker for the workshop was Mr. Durgesh Pandey, Branch Head, SIFS, Lucknow, India.
The Guest Lecture commenced with a formal Welcome Address delivered by Ms. Khalida Nazeer, setting the tone for an engaging and academically enriching session. This was followed by a comprehensive and interactive presentation by the guest speaker, Mr. Durgesh Pandey, who explained the approaches to be used in Crime Scene and elaborated the Cases on which he Worked.
The session showed active participation, with question answer rounds and detailed engagement in discussions of Crime Scene. A One-to-One doubt-clearingsession was subsequently conducted by the speaker, allowing participants to clarify their queries.
The event concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Ekta Singh Yadav, followed by the presentation of a memento to the guest speaker as a token of appreciation for his valuable contribution.
The program was organized under the supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Ashfaque Khan, Director, IIAHSR & IINSR, Mr. Mojahidul Islam, Head- Department of Allied & Healthcare Sciences and Ms. Namrata Singh, In-charge, Forensic Sciences, IIAHSR.
More than 120 students participated and received certificates of appreciation. The program received active support from all faculty members of the department.
