The Integral Institute of Nursing Sciences & Research, in collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, IIMSR, is pleased to announce the celebration of Community Health Awareness Week from 7th April to 14th April, 2026.

This week-long initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Goal SDG-03 (Good Health and wellbeing), SDG-04 (Quality Education, Skill based Education), SDG-05 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG-10 (Reduce inequalities.) and SDG-17 (Partnership for goals).

Event Objectives:

· Promote Maternal and Child Health: To educate the community on the critical importance of care before and after childbirth (Antenatal and Postnatal Awareness).

· Support Youth Wellness: To provide essential health screenings and educational services directly to students through dedicated School Health Services.

· Assess Local Health Needs: To gather valuable public health data and identify the specific medical needs of the local population through a structured Community Health Survey.

· Engage and Educate the Public Creatively: To use high-energy, visual methods like a Flash Mob and practical demonstrations to grab public attention and break down complex health topics into easily understandable concepts.

· Foster Long-Term Health Literacy: To empower community members with actionable knowledge through Comprehensive Health Education Sessions, enabling them to make informed decisions about their well-being.

We believe that community health is a collective responsibility.
