Extension Activity on ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’

The Department of Commerce, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS), Integral University, is organizing an extension activity on 09 April 2026 at the University’s adopted village, Bhakhamau. The activity is aligned with the ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’ initiative of the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council.

This outreach programme aims to promote educational awareness among children from underprivileged and weaker sections of society. The initiative focuses on encouraging school enrollment, enhancing basic literacy, and fostering a positive attitude towards education through interactive and engaging methods.

Students of the Department of Commerce, under the guidance of faculty members, will actively participate in the programme. They will conduct educational interactions, deliver simple and motivational talks, and engage children in activities that promote hygiene, good habits, and the importance of schooling and personal development.

Faculty members accompanying the students will supervise and coordinate the programme, ensuring effective implementation and meaningful community engagement. They will also mentor students throughout the activity, reinforcing the values of social responsibility and service.

Through this initiative, participating students will gain valuable exposure to real-life social conditions, while developing empathy, leadership skills, and a strong sense of civic responsibility. All participants will be awarded an e-certificate.
