The Faculty of Pharmacy, Integral University, is organizing a Guest Lecture on Awareness for Tuberculosis in observance of World Tuberculosis Day on April 04, 2026, at the Seminar Hall, 2nd Floor, Block U, Faculty of Pharmacy.
This academic event aims to sensitize students, faculty members, and healthcare professionals about the growing importance of tuberculosis awareness in healthcare practice. The session will highlight the significance of early detection, prevention, and treatment of tuberculosis, along with the role of pharmaceutical sciences in ensuring the quality and safety of medicines.
Observed globally every year on March 24, World Tuberculosis Day was initiated by the World Health Organization to raise awareness about the impact of tuberculosis and to strengthen global efforts toward its eradication. The 2026 theme, “Yes! We can end TB: Led by countries, powered by people”, emphasizes collective responsibility and community-driven action in combating TB.
The lecture will be delivered by Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, Associate Professor, Department of General Medicine, IIMSR, who will share expert insights on tuberculosis awareness and its relevance in modern healthcare systems.
