Chancellor honored as the “Pride of Awadh”

A leading Group of publications, Avadhnama, at its Foundation day celebrations honored and felicitated the eminent personalities of India for their exemplary works. The event was held on 2nd September at the Scientific Convention Centre, King George's Medical University, Lucknow. Eleven robust personalities were picked up by a neutral committee, for their sheer brilliance, outstanding contribution and extraordinary works for a better, stronger society.

Our beloved Chancellor, Professor Wasim Akhtar, received the prestigious Waqar-E- Awadh 2018 award, amidst loud cheers and echoing claps of the multi-faceted audience present in the hall. He was acknowledged for revolutionizing the education sector by establishing Integral University, which is now globally known for its quality education and nurtures more than 10,000 students not just from India but from all over the world. His inspirational story of starting the current humongous, flourishing University as the small Techno-Academic school with mere four students on 3rd November 1993 is regarded as the apt example of the saying, “where there's a will there's a way”, mentions the newspaper.


The event was presided over by Shri Ram Naik, Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh who awarded the leaders and torch bearers, for a better and a stronger society. Internationally acclaimed Poet, Munawwar Rana, eminent scientist and a globally recognized researcher, Dr.S.M.I. Hussain Farooqi, Jury Member of International Film Festival, Mr. Vilayat Jafri, were few of the other renowned personalities who received the awards at Awadhnama’s glorious 15-year celebrations.
