“Emerging Business Opportunities in the Agriculture Sector”

Centre for Incubation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) in collaboration with the Department of Commerce & Business Management, Integral University Lucknow organized an online Capacity Development Program for Agri- Entrepreneurs, on the topic “Emerging Business Opportunities in the Agriculture Sector” on July 17, 2021.
Agriculture is one of the most growing and demanding sectors in today’s era. There are a number of agricultural businesses opportunities that are growing rapidly these days. The Government of India has announced some path-breaking reforms for agriculture. These reforms will lead to a huge transformation of the supply chains of agricultural output.



To apprise of these business opportunities to its registered startups and students of Integral University, The event started under the aegis of the Chief Guest Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar, Pro-Chancellor, Integral University, Lucknow, and the Guest of Honour, Mr. Pranav Dwivedi who represented the Startup Policy Implementation Unit of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. It was organised under the gracious presence of two key experts Mr. Hemendra Mathur who is the Co-founder of ThinkAg& Venture Partner Bharat Innovation Fund and Dr. Sudhir Raizada who is an Emeritus Scientist with Indian Council of Agriculture Research.
The Chairperson of CIED; Prof. Anil Dubey welcomed the guests, which was followed by the inaugural address of the Pro-Chancellor of the Integral University Dr. Syed NadeemAkhtar. He emphasized the importance and the role of innovation in the agriculture sector. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Pranav Dwivedi enlightened the audience with the basic features of the UP Startup Policy 2020.



The key expert Mr. Hemendra Mathur highlighted the scope of the agriculture sector in the growth and development of the rural areas. He also discussed the importance of local entrepreneurs and government bodies in the development of the Agri-Business specifically in UP and in India in general.
Dr. Sudhir Raizada enlightened on the available business opportunities in the fisheries and allied sectors. He also pointed out the common mistakes done by the entrepreneurs in this sector.
The participation in the programme was more than 300, represented by Agri-Entrepreneurs and students of Agriculture institutes from all over the state & outside of the state.
Both experts also answered several questions of the participants. The event successfully completed with a vote of thanks to all by Dr. Babar A Khan, Manager Incubation CIED.
