“After 2 years, Fiesta 2022 opens at Integral University on a celebratory note”.

The 3 day annual festival of Integral University, FIESTA 2022, began on 24th March which filled the campus with enthusiasm and fun, laying the way for three days of participatory, entertaining, and creative events.

Speaking on the occasion the Hon’ble Chancellor & Founder Prof. Syed Waseem Akhtar, Integral University said this Fiesta was extra special as it came after a two-year gap and students were eagerly looking forward to the same.

The Chief Guest at the function Dr. NC Prajapati, Director General, Medical Education, Government of Uttar Pradesh praised the vast green campus and the array of students that Integral University had gathered under its banner and built a name for itself in academic excellence.

Guests of Honour included Dr. Alok Kumar, Secretary/ Registrar UP State Medical Faculty praised the excellent work that the University had done during the pandemic and said it was well and truly deserving of a celebration. However, with her lucid shairi and learned words, it was Mam Azra Waseem, Founder, Techno Academic School, Lucknow who stole the show by asking students to learn that the spirit of sportsmanship was not just in winning but participation too. Also present on the momentous occasion were the Chancellor, Prof. Syed Waseem Akhtar, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Javed Musarrat, Registrar, Prof. Mohd. Haris Siddiqui, faculty and staff of Integral University.

Inviting the students to FIESTA 2022, the Hon’ble Chancellor, Prof. S. W. Akhtar extorted students to participate in events locally, as well as in other universities and colleges.,” He said it gave him great pleasure unfold the university’s annual festival FIESTA-2022, which was a way of reflecting and celebrating the spirit of youth in providing a platform to the students to nurture and harness their innate talents. “

The inaugural function was enriched with a scintillating performance by Shashwat of Kailash Kher’s Sufi song Bismillah. A tribute was given to Late Lata Mangeshkar ji with a medley of her songs and a stunning show of strength by the International Student Pageant of Integral University which includes students from many countries of Africa including Nigeria, Sudan, Ghana and Sierra Leone, Syria, Nepal and more.

The Tamsili Mushaira brought out the shayars in the participants, filling the entire environment with Lucknawi charm.

The PUBG Mobile Tournament gave FIESTA a dash of militant splendour. The Players had Thrilling fights for the title of Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Many aspiring Shakespeares, Ghalibs, and Premchands were able to flaunt their expertise at the Self-Composed Poetry, which filled the atmosphere with the spirit of literary vibes and the cultural link we all share in common around the world.

At several locations, a variety of indoor and outdoor sporting activities were held. It was fascinating to watch diverse students compete for victory.

The ‘Grapple of Nomads: The Band Show’ was a must watch show. The connection between the audience and the performers created a unique excitement that inspired the musicians on stage. The band show turned up the energy at the end of the day to end off the first day of this year's FIESTA on a high note, only for everyone to return the next day with even more zeal.

The pre-festival highlight was a plantation drive by the Department of Bioengineering and the Integral Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology.Day one ended up being a huge success. It was jam-packed with luminaries sharing their stories, and the student’s hung on every word with rapt attention. Students, professors, guests, and management that were in attendance liked the performance and cheered on all of the events

The three-day Fiesta 2022 at Integral University concluded with great fanfare after a Valedictory Function where the Chief Guest was Dr. S. N. Sabat, IPS, DG UPPCL, Uttar Pradesh.

On the occasion Prof. Sunita Mishra, Prof & Dean, Faculty of Home Science, BBAU and Mrs. Azra Waseem, Founder, Techno Academic School, Lucknow were Guests of Honour.

Students of the University put up a scintillating rendition of Iqbal’s beautiful song “Lab pe aati hai dua ban ke tammanna meri” In the last three days student strength was seen in full force as the 12000 campus came alive with local, national and International students who took special interest in participating in events like Ethnic Cultural Walk, Mr. and Ms. Integral Shan-E-Avadh & Naaz-E-Awadh, Mr & Ms. Africa contests, showcasing the best in ethnic wear on the ramp.

Addressing the gathering the Chief Guest was Dr. S. N. Sabat, IPS, DG UPPCL, Uttar Pradesh, addressing students spoke on the importance of Three Ds—Determination, Dedication and Discipline that will take them places in life. He also asked students to be gender sensitive and give equal opportunities to girls and women.

The concluding report for the festival was read out by the Dean, Students’ Welfare, Prof. Dr. Monawer A. Khalid, while students read out the report of various events.

The massive participation of students at the festival can be gauged by the fact that about 1630 students, girls and boys, participated in Sports event alone.

In his concluding speech marking the close of Fiesta 2022, the Hon’ble Chancellor, Prof. S. W. Akhtar said such festivals were a celebration of the spirit of youth and that he was grateful to the Almighty that after two years things were returning to normalcy. He extorted students to participate in events locally, as well as in other universities and colleges.,”

The function concluded with a glittering awards ceremony where prizes for the various Sports, Technology, Cultural, Literary and Artistic events were handed over trophies and medals.

It was after two years that FIESTA was held on the campus and the excitement of participating in the annual cultural-literary and sports extravaganza was palpable on the campus. Students from all departments actively participated in events like Quizaholic, Debates, Essay Writing, Poetry Writing and Recitation, Just a Minute held in Hindi Urdu and English Solo. Musical events like Group and Solo Singing, contest among music bands—Grapple of the Nomads pumped up the adrenaline in the auditorium while art and culture and other events like Poster Competition, Nukkad Natak, Storytelling, Mock Interview and Slogan competition tested the creative acumen of students Science and Tech events .
