Uzbek-India Event: Fostering Cultural Exchange at Integral University Lucknow

A Talk on Uzbek-India Relations by H.E. Mr. Farhod Arziev, Ambassador Extra-ordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of India

We Indians believe in the gray and golden saying ‘Atithi Devo Bhava!’ and Integral University, being a prestigious and steadfast testament of the saying, has once again proved that this feeling of hospitality is still established and substantial in our hearts.

A talk on Uzbek-India Relations by H.E. Mr. Farhod Arziev, Ambassador Extra-ordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of India, was organized at Integral University on 16 th September 2019.

The event was attended by Prof. S.W. Akhtar, Chancellor, Integral University, Mrs. Ranu Arzieva, W/O H.E. Mr. Farhod Arziev, Mrs. Azra Waseem, Director, Integral Techno-School, Prof. Aquil Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor(Actg.), Integral University and Dr. Syed Nadeem Akhtar, Director, Engineering and Research, Integral University.

In his articulate and expressive speech, H.E. Mr. Farhod Arziev threw some lights on themes such as how biologically, socially, nationally and physically similar Indians and Uzbeks are. He made his point that he was interested in establishing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Integral University which would give rise to joint programs in the future. He said, “There are already branches of major colleges such as Amity and Sharda Universities in Uzbekistan, and, I’d like to request to lay the foundations of the Integral University in Uzbekistan too.”

Integral University is already a second home to various international students from various parts of the African continent, Afghanistan, Nepal, etc. H.E. Mr. Farhod Arziev proposed for starting programs such as exchange students between India and Uzbekistan at Integral University, exchange of teachers between the two and availability of digital teaching contents from the teachers of the two countries for the students.



H.E. Mr. Farhod Arziev further continued that he wants to focus on Bilateral Configuration between India and Uzbekistan, cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and opening an IT park. The event was a great success and the delegates retired with firm hope and determination of an upcoming partnership and various other ways to strengthen the bonds between the two countries.

The event started at 11 A.M. and concluded on 12:30 P.M. and mainly focused on the cultural, economic and social similarities between the two countries.
