Indian Navy was on a visit to the Integral University for the recruitment of Final Year students of eight branches of Engineering. To conduct this Pool Campus Drive, a senior officer of Indian Navy, Captain T Rajneeth Ramasundaram, Director Manpower Planning & Recruitment Indian Navy and Leading Seaman Bhupinder Rathore visited the University. More than 270 students from different parts of Uttar Pradesh belonging to different institutes attended the two days long Campus Placement process. Female students, who were eligible to apply only for Pilot and Observer cadre also participated enthusiastically, in big numbers. The placements were conducted under the University Entry Scheme (UES) 2019.
Under UES, students are exempted from any entrance exams and are recruited directly by the Navy. Integral University has been organizing the pool campus of Indian Navy now for 15 consecutive years.
The Chancellor, Prof SW Akhtar, extended a warm welcome and happiness towards the Team Navy’s 15th successful year of collaboration with Integral University, to provide young engineers an option to join Indian Navy. He motivated the students for joining the Indian Navy to make their University, a proud institution.
Dr. Nilanjan Mukherji, Director Training & Placements welcomed the gathering with his opening remarks in the address to the participating students. The young and bright Integralites ready to take on the challenge, prepared to work hard and expecting far more from their career than a remunerative pay packet, were present in large numbers, to interact with the Navy officials.
Captain T Rajneeth Ramasundaram appreciated the candidates who have come forward to serve the nation. In his inaugural address, he said, Joining Indian Navy is all about honor, dignity, and prestige which generally you will not get in any other job. Elaborating the rules and regulations of the recruitment process, he said that with an annual package of around Rs 12.5 lakhs per annum and other benefits, Indian Navy offers respect and honor in the society. Selected students will be called for SSB in the month of Feb and March in any of the four SSB training centers across India.
