PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs)

POs and its Attributes: Physiotherapy Graduates will be able to-

  • PO1:System of Health Care: Recognize the role of Physiotherapy in the context of health need of the community and National priorities in the health sectors. Understanding the rules, responsibility and expertise of all health professionals and how they work as a team member to delivered health care with their expertise and ability to communicate effectively with them.
  • PO2:Fundamental Knowledge: Basic knowledge comprises Human Anatomy, Physiology, pathology, Pharmacology, Medicine, Surgical Conditions and their Physiotherapeutic management and executes particular task and understanding the factor that might disturb normal structure and function with proper rehabilitation how to overcome from underlying problem.
  • PO3:Assessment: A holistic approach of patient assessment through various learning process with physical therapy domain from impairment to disability and categorized to store towards normal ADL.
  • PO4:Critical Thinking: Indentify, define and deal with problems of professional practice through logical, analytical and critical thinking. Acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to help them practice efficiently and accurately. Apply the methods of evaluation and differential diagnosis in Physiotherapy and develop the appropriate rehabilitation program for patients.
  • PO5:Manual Approaches: Physical therapy a non invasive approach an idea lies behind manual therapy by including articular, myomanual, neural, sensorimotor, gross skill development and along with respiratory exercise to be restoring their normal functioning.
  • PO6:Physiotherapy and Society: Applying the medical knowledge with contextual frame work to assess societal, health, safety legal and cultural issues and consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional physical therapist.
  • PO7:Individual And Team Work: Students will be able to work with the medical team in a creative and flexible manner and show responsibility, commitment and leadership in various treatment approaches.
  • PO8:Professional Ethics: Physical therapy encompasses broad ethical principle and commit to professional ethics providing sound platform to maintain dignity and accountability without medical negligence.
  • PO9:Communication Skills: Apply the communication and collaboration skills, values, ethics and attitudes that will enable them to effectively deal with patients, families and medical team.
  • PO10:Research Possesses: Studies by incorporative from practice based evidence to evidence based practice. Research strategies and techniques that develop their problem oriented learning, evidence based problem solving and decision making skills in the field of Physiotherapy.
  • PO11:Management & Finance: Through an understanding of organizational governance, the ability to be an active participant in professional organization where one can use KSA to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environment by using various resources and infrastructure from government NGO.
  • PO12:Life Long Learning: An appreciation of responsibility to maintain standards of physiotherapy practice gives life learning process enables every individual to address problem solving and judgment in efficient manner.

The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive training to the students that prepare them for providing a quality physiotherapy care to the patients, so that after completion of the course students will be able to match the following outcomes:

  • PO1: Acquire in-depth understanding of the structure as well as functions of the human body as it pertains to the specific field of study.
  • PO2: Acquire in-depth knowledge of human mobility impairment, its causes, and the principles governing the use of physiotherapeutic interventions to reestablish mobility dysfunction to normalcy.
  • PO3: The student will be knowledgeable about treatment planning, management, administration of physiotherapy treatment, and patient support.
  • PO4: Demonstrate the ability to deeply accurately assess recent physiotherapeutic and related journal literature and use it to establish diagnostic and therapeutic practices.
  • PO5: Exhibit the ability to make clinical decision making (based on evaluation) regarding physiotherapy approach techniques and to select appropriate outcome measures based on a comprehensive knowledge of the specialty.
  • PO6: Demonstrate expertise in the management of, multisystem disorders, including movement dysfunction, in the concerned specialty.
  • PO7: To conduct independent research within the department and facilitate the department and team in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • PO8: To encouraged pursuing advanced degrees in efforts to progress to leadership levels in the professional field. Furthermore, in order to remain relevant with advances and new technology, professionals should participate in continuing professional education credits offered by national and international institutes.
  • PO9: Demonstrate proficiency in creating awareness for healthcare and professional awareness at various levels in the community using newer technology.
  • PO10: Demonstrate leadership, managerial, administrative & communication skills.
  • PO11: Employment opportunities can be found in both private and public hospitals, as well as independent physiotherapy clinics and teaching institutes.
  • PO12: Demonstrate knowledge of regulations pertaining to compensation for functional disability welfare schemes and disabled rights, laws pertaining to industrial workers and disabled, and appropriate certification.

The overall objective of the physiotherapy Program is to prepare students to practice state of the art physical therapy. To do this, students must become licensed in their legal jurisdiction. The educational goals of the curriculum reflect the knowledge, skills and behaviors expected of program graduates. The graduates of the Integral University physiotherapy program will be expected to:

  • PEO1: Demonstrate knowledge of the theoretical basis of physiotherapy.
  • PEO2: Demonstrate clinical competency in evaluation, treatment planning and implementation.
  • PEO3: Integrate knowledge of basic sciences and physiotherapy in order to modify treatment approaches that reflect the breadth and scope of physiotherapy practice.
  • PEO4: Integrate the use of basic principles of research in critical analysis of concepts and findings generated by self and others.

The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive, training to the students that prepares them for providing a quality physiotherapy care to the patients so that at the end of the course he/she will be able to perform the following:

  • PSO1: Students will be able to know about the physiotherapy concepts and skills related to basic medical knowledge, therapeutic modalities, electrotherapy and special techniques.
  • PSO2: The student able to learn Physiotherapy assessment, treatment, plan and its outcome for appropriate tailored program in effective care and rehabilitation.
  • PSO3: Student learns in analyzing evaluating information and bridging the gap from theoretical knowledge to clinical practice by critical reasoning and problem solving in physiotherapy practice.
  • PSO4: Understand the need of research in formulation of new approach with rational the evidence based practice to provide sound platform to meet high standard of care and rehabilitation.
  • PSO5: Students will be able to apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of physiotherapy practice.

The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive, training to the students that prepares them for providing a quality physiotherapy care to the patients so that at the end of the course he/she will be able to perform the following

  • PSO1: Knowledge and understanding of subject will help the student in planning assessment and diagnosis of the patient with help of various concepts like knowledge of clinical reasoning, screening patients based on special tests and helps them in planning a better rehabilitation of the patient.
  • PSO2: Able to correlate the clinical manifestation to the dysfunction of the Orthopaedic conditions.
  • PSO3: Able to form base of professional practice with the evidence-based practice and enables the student to have a better understanding of the subject.
  • PSO4: Able to prevent various Musculoskeletal injuries and plan a rehabilitation protocol.
  • PSO5: Begin to comprehend an educational plan for continuous learning throughout professional career and capable of understanding, teaching, and monitoring variety of musculoskeletal conditions and ergonomics in musculoskeletal injuries.

The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive, training to the students that prepares them for providing a quality physiotherapy care to the patients so that at the end of the course he/she will be able to perform the following

  • PSO1 Knowledge and understanding of subject will help the student in planning assessment and diagnosis of the patient with help of various concepts like knowledge of clinical reasoning, screening patients based on special tests and helps them in planning a better rehabilitation of the patient.
  • PSO2 Recognize and manage neurologic diseases by understanding the principles and essential skills by learning to apply basic nervous system knowledge in clinical settings
  • PSO3 Development of communication skills that will facilitate the clinical interaction with patients, healthcare professionals and their families.
  • PSO4 Acquiring the knowledge required for the diagnosis and treatment of common acute and chronic neurological conditions and improving clinical problem-solving abilities.
  • PSO5 Begin to comprehend an educational plan for continuous learning throughout professional career and capable of understanding, teaching, and monitoring variety of Neurological conditions.

The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive, training to the students that prepares them for providing a quality physiotherapy care to the patients so that at the end of the course he/she will be able to perform the following

  • PSO1 Knowledge and understanding of subject will help the student in planning assessment and diagnosis of the patient with help of various concepts like knowledge of clinical reasoning, screening patients based on special tests and helps them in planning a better rehabilitation of the patient.
  • PSO2 Recognize and manage neurologic diseases by understanding the principles and essential skills by learning to apply basic cardiopulmonary system knowledge in clinical settings
  • PSO3 Development of communication skills that will facilitate the clinical interaction with patients, healthcare professionals and their families.
  • PSO4 Acquiring the knowledge required for the diagnosis and treatment of common acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions and improving clinical problem-solving abilities.
  • PSO5 Begin to comprehend an educational plan for continuous learning throughout professional career and capable of understanding, teaching, and monitoring variety of cardiopulmonary conditions.

The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive, training to the students that prepare them for providing a quality physiotherapy care to the patients so that at the end of the course he/she will be able to perform the following:

  • PSO1 Knowledge and understanding of subject will help the student in planning assessment and diagnosis of the patient with help of various concepts like knowledge of clinical reasoning, screening patients based on special tests and helps them in planning a better rehabilitation of the athletes.
  • PSO2 Able to perform on field evaluation and basic knowledge of first aid which are the cornerstones of management of any sports injury.
  • PSO3 Ability to conduct a pre-participation evaluation to the main event and to develop an appropriate fitness regimen and rehabilitation protocol for a variety of sports injuries.
  • PSO4 Understanding and development of individual diet and nutrition program for the sports population.
  • PSO4 Understand technique and monitor sports specific mechanics and correct abnormal mechanics.
