Heat and Mass Transfer Lab

Heat and MassTransfer Laboratory caters to the needs of B.Tech. 3rd year Mechanical Engineering and B.Tech 2nd year Bio-Technology students. Experiments in this lab help the students to enhance their practical understanding of heat transfer modes . These experiments also pave way for inculcating certain innovative skills in the students making them to use the experimental setups as starting point to take up higher level experimental studies in Heat Transfer.

CAD/CAM Lab

The CAD/CAM laboratory is one of the key instructional labs in Mechanical Engineering department. CAD/CAM is defined the use of information technology (IT) in the Design and manufacturing process. It supports undergraduate students, post graduate students, research scholars for their design, manufacturing and analysis based projects and research works. In this laboratory the students learn the fundamentals of numerical control (NC) technology, programming of computer numerical control (CNC) machines in NC codes and APT language and with CAD/CAM systems.

The process of design, simulation and prototyping takes place in a digitally integrated environment.

The laboratory contains the same hardware and software used by industry professionals in the creation and maintenance of power systems giving students the opportunity to develop the skills and experience that will aid them in the work field.

1. Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS)
  • Our new FMS setup includes advanced machining centers and automation tools, enabling students to gain hands-on experience with modern manufacturing processes.
  • Training programs will cover topics such as system configuration, operation, and maintenance, along with practical sessions to enhance their skills.




2. 3D Printer: The addition of a high-precision 3D printer will allow students to explore rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing techniques.
  • Training modules will include CAD design, slicing software, and printing processes, providing comprehensive knowledge from design to the final product.


These facilities aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, fostering an environment of innovation and skill development. We encourage all students and faculty members to take full advantage of these resources.


Workshop

The Integral university has a modern and well established workshop. It is equipped with various traditional as well as most modern machines, latest tools and instruments. It comprises of different shops such as Machine shop, carpentry shop, smithy & forging shop, welding shop, sheet metal fabrication shop, fitting shop. The students get practical training and exposer to industrial machining, drilling, welding, woodworking, metal shaping by smithy, sheetmetal fabrication and fitting of components work.

The enginnering skill is developed by working and doing job by their own hands. The working models have been fabricated in such an innovative manner that teaching to them becomes easy and interesting. The students acquire skill to work on machinery with the help of these models.

The workshop is utilized not only for providing practical training to B.Tech. Students but also to develop and construct many other machines, equipments and working models of various complicated systemfor other departments and labs. e.g. Fume hood for Bio. Technology, motorized potter's wheel for Architecture department etc. The vehicles of university are being maintained and repaired in the workshop.
