research, and community-driven initiatives. The sustained efforts of various departments and institutional units reflect the
University’s dedication to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being. The following section presents the University’s progress
toward SDG 3.
Research on Health and Well-being
Integral University actively advances SDG-3 through interdisciplinary research focused on holistic health frameworks. The
university’s scholars examine the integrated effects of physical, mental, and social health interventions, assessing how
multidimensional wellness strategies improve overall quality of life. This research ecosystem spans medicine, pharmacy,
biotechnology, nursing, physiotherapy, and social sciences. To date, faculty members across these diverse domains have
produced 342 peer-reviewed publications, contributing substantive evidence and innovations toward enhancing public
health outcomes and strengthening community well-being.
Proportion of Graduates in Health Professions
Integral University recorded a total of 3,347 graduates during the assessment period. Out of these, 831 graduates were from
health-related professional programmes, including Medicine & Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Paramedical Sciences,
and allied health disciplines. These graduates contribute directly to the healthcare workforce and support the nation’s overall
health system.
Current Collaborations with Health Institutions
Integral University, Lucknow actively advances SDG-3 through sustained engagement with the healthcare ecosystem. The
University currently maintains 34 active International and 17 active National collaborations with leading medical and public-health
institutions. These partnerships strengthen clinical training, joint research, community health outreach, and capacity-building
initiatives, ensuring that students, faculty, and partner organizations work collectively to promote accessible, evidence-based
healthcare and improved well-being across Uttar Pradesh and beyond.

Health Outreach Programmes

populations. Through multidisciplinary participation from faculty, medical professionals, and student volunteers, the

The Department of Community Medicine, Integral Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (IIMSR), Integral University,
conducted a Health Camp on 05 January 2024 from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM at Gram Chandpur, Ambedkar Basti, Amarsand,
located approximately 9 km from the institute on Kursi Road. The camp was supported by Gram Pradhan Mrs. Mehrun Nisan
Faisal and local villagers, enhancing community participation. This activity directly aligns with SDG 3 – Good Health and
Well-Being, focusing on improving access to essential healthcare services in rural areas.
Objective of the Activity
- To provide medical treatment, preventive health education, and health counseling to underserved rural communities,
thereby supporting improved health outcomes and strengthening awareness of disease prevention.
Activities Conducted
- On-site medical consultation and treatment
- Health education sessions on hygiene, maternal health, nutrition, and disease prevention
- Health counseling for lifestyle improvement and early disease recognition
- Referral of patients requiring further investigations or advanced treatment to IIMSR Hospital, where MSWs assisted them in accessing relevant OPDs
The medical team included specialists from Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, and Community Medicine.
Outcomes of the Activity
- Improved Healthcare Access: Rural residents received immediate medical consultation and treatment at their doorstep.
- Enhanced Preventive Health Awareness: Participants gained knowledge on hygiene, maternal and child health, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Effective Referral Management: Patients needing specialized care were systematically referred to IIMSR Hospital and guided by Medical Social Workers.
- Strengthened Community Engagement: Active involvement of the Gram Pradhan and local villagers increased trust and participation.
- Contribution to SDG 3: The activity directly supported SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-Being by expanding healthcare accessibility, promoting preventive health measures, and improving community health literacy.

The celebration of the 10th International Day of Yoga at Integral University on 21 June 2024, conducted in compliance with
the Ministry of AYUSH directives, aligns directly with Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
Yoga, as a holistic practice, contributes significantly to physical fitness, mental health, stress reduction, preventive healthcare,
and strengthened immunity-all central components of SDG 3.
The International Day of Yoga, observed annually on June 21, aims to raise global awareness about the physical, mental, and
spiritual benefits of yoga. First celebrated worldwide in 2015 after the initiative of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra
Modi, the United Nations officially declared June 21 as IDY on December 11, 2014.
Yoga plays a vital role in improving physical health, calming the mind, enhancing immunity, and promoting overall well
being, making it an essential component of holistic health practices.
Objective of the Expert Lecture
