Basic Skill Courses

At Integral University we not only focus on the courses taught but we also inculcate in our students with knowledge beyond their curriculum. Various skill imparting activities are carried out that focus on the overall development of our students. In a constantly changing environment, having life skills is an essential part of being able to meet the challenges of everyday life and builds the confidence and credibility of students.

Industries are constantly hiring employees with a wide skill spectrum and qualities in hopes of creating or maintaining an efficient, professional and productive workplace. The primary aim of Basic Skills is to build problem solving capabilities, an essential skill for life. Basic Skills classes assist students in professional and personal development.

While students work hard to get good grades, many still struggle to gain employment. According to research by the CBI (Confederation of British Industry) in 2011 employers were looking not just for academic success but key employability skills.

The major objectives for developing basic skills in students are:

• Learning beyond the curriculum.
• Find new ways of thinking and problem solving.
• Build confidence both in individual skills and for group collaboration and cooperation.
• Develop a greater sense of self-awareness
• The ability to self-manage, solve problems and understand the basics.
• Feel more confident and comfortable with technology.
