In alignment to the vision of the University and its Programs where Industry Exposure & Field Visits are the key aspects for quality education and imparting excellence in a way that UN’s Sustainable Development Goal 04 of Quality Education is met, a City Tour was organized to Bara Imambara & British Residency as part of the Orientation Program for Session 2024-25 on Friday, 02nd August, 2024. First year students of UG & PG Programs of Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Design were taken to the Bara Imambara & British Residency Complex for making them aware of the city’s heritage and to let the imposing structures leave an inspirational impact on the hearts of the young students.
The students were guided by the Faculty Members on the history of the monuments, their significance in contributing to our nation’s rich past and the relevance of observing details that are present around us. They were also briefed about the Complex in terms of Architecture and Design and a short exercise was held for the students where they were encouraged to take photographs and draw sketches of the panoramic views and details of the Bara Imambara & Residency Complexes.
The City Tour was well coordinated by Faculty Members Ar. Sidra Sabahat, Ar. Fahad Aslam, Pl. Abdul Quadir and Mr. Aaqib Khan under the guidance of Prof. (Ar.) Zeba Nisar, Dean, FoAPD and Prof. (Dr.) Safiullah Khan, Head, Department of Architecture.
