The third phase of "Mission Shakti" was launched by our Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Sri Yogi Adityanath along with the Union Finance Minister, Srimati Nirmala Sitharaman in Lucknow, on On August 21, 2021. Mission Shakti aims at promoting the safety, respect and self-reliance of women. This phase of 'Mission Shakti' to be observed till December 31, 2021 focus on organizing various programs throughout the state to educate people and reinforce the idea of women empowerment.
In view of above directives, the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Design, Integral University, Lucknow, in Collaboration with Women Grievance Cell, Integral University, Lucknow, organized a webinar on “Awareness program on Women Security and Cyber Crime” on 11th September 2021. The event aimed to make youth aware of pressing issues of Women Security and Cyber Crime.
The program started with the welcome address delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Monowar Alam Khalid, Dean Students’ Welfare, Integral University. Mr. Surendra Mohan, Joint Commissioner, Income Tax Department, Lucknow, the Chief Guest of the program, shared his views on self-help and self-motivation in reference to women security and cybercrime. The Guest of Honour, Dr. Sima Modi, Actor and Founder of Srijan Shakti Welfare Society (NGO) highlighted on the situation of women in tribal areas and also the steps that can be taken to reduce crime. Dr. Ritu Gulati, Associate Professor, Faculty of Architecture and Planning, AKTU, Lucknow, shared her viewpoint on the issues related to women security and cybercrime.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Prof. (Dr). Indrani Chakraborty, Dean, Faculty of Architecture, Planning and Design, Integral University, Lucknow. The event was attended online by more than 70 participants including the faculty members, staff, and students. The response from the audience was quite overwhelming.
