Shikshak Parv or Teachers Festival (5th September to 9th September 2022) is an initiative of the Ministry of Education and the Government of India (GoI) to commemorate the birth anniversary of the former President of India Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, an accomplished scholar and academician. The Shikshak Parv is being celebrated to recognize the contributions of teachers and to take New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, a step forward. In this regard, the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, and Planning & Design organized a Card making Competition on the theme -Teachers Day on 9th September, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Seminar Hall of the Department.
Students from B.Arch and B.Design participated in this competition. Students were asked to design, draw, color, paint or decorate the card using waste materials brought by them and finish the work in a stipulated time frame. The cards were judged based on design, materials used, skill and presentation. The response to the event was overwhelming and each card was unique and beautiful showing the interest and creativity of each student. The students were really excited to make cards for their teachers and came out with really good and imaginative ideas. The love and care reflected through their cards really made us feel how important we are in building their lives.
All the participants made an excellent effort to make this event successful. The entire event was successfully coordinated by the faculty coordinators, Ms. Safa Seraj and Mr. Irfanullah Khan. The student coordinator was Utkarsh Singh (B.Des- II Year). The efforts and dedication of our Dean, Head, all faculty members and students made the event a grand success.
