Community service programme

Community service is a non-paying job performed by one person or a group of people for the benefit of the community or its institutions. Being an act of "service-learning", community service strives to connect or re-connect students with serving their community after they finish their course. Community service programme is a good opportunity to be a part of a regional project and it provides a platform to help student learn about an issue that is very critical to today's society, nation and world at large.

As it is an important activity for the students and society and creates the bridge between the two, it is being included in the curriculum of B.Ed. and M.Ed. in their first year programme. The same activity is being performed by the first year students of B.Ed. and M.Ed. The students of other Departments of the university were also actively participated in this event. The activity is scheduled from 21st February, 2018 to 24th February, 2018. The following is the Day wise report:

Day-1: Wednesday, 21/02/2018 Students reached the venue i.e. Aadhaar kheda Village, Dist. Bakshi ka Talab near Kursi Road, at 11.00 am. The program at the village. Started at 11:00 with a rally throughout the village for creating awareness for "Matrabhasha Diwas" and with other slogans like, Beti Bachao Beti Padao, . The students planned various programme like speech, poem, folk song, quiz, skits, etc. which were emphasizing on Hindi Languages, common community problems". The activities started with the song VandeMataram, followed by the other programs like Quiz competition, Skit —Shiksha mein hindi ka mahatva, song — Satyamev Jayate, speech on Beti Bachao Beti Padao, then skit on Child Labour, Poem — Patthar Bath Mahila, Skit — waqt ki Aluniyat, Song — Yeh Hosla ending with the Skit — Good Touch Bad Touch. Learning Experience was observed among the students on Day 1. Government Primary School students, their teachers, Villagers, etc. were the main spectators of the programme. The programme was peacefully concluded with the support of teachers including Dr. Fazia Qamar, Mr. Masroor, Ms. Divya Rajukumar Panjwani. It's a job of applause for the students as they have prepared the programmes for the community and executed them effectively.

Day-2: Thursday, 22/02/2018 .The day started with an effective workshop on "Health and Sanitation" by Sana Amin B.Ed. 1st Year Student. For every correct answer from the villagers or the students she and her team were giving gifts, this made participation of each and every person present their very much effective. After the Quiz competition students were divided into two groups, Group A — which will do cooking activity and Group B which will go for Survey. Cooking activity was allowed so that students can feel the life style of the village and understand their problems from the root level. Survey activity was designed so that students can interact with the villagers and can understand the difficulties on how to collect data. These activities were completed by 12.30 pm and before lunch song Bekhauf and a Skit on Totko ka khel was done by Students. All the students were tired as one group has done survey and other group has done cooking (roasted potatoes on chullah) with the help of few village ladies. During lunch time the cooked food was relished by the teachers and the participants. After Lunch time students presented a song — Yeh desh hai veer Jawaano Ka and Nukkad atak on Road Safety followed by speech of Faiz Akram on Paryavaran and Pradushan. The students presented a beautiful skit on "Mujhe Jawab Do" to exhibit the problems of the society at large. The programme was concluded by a song "Dil hai Chotta Sa". Again the efforts from the part of students were remarkable. Dr E. Ahmed was the Day Incharge with the team of Dr. Fazia Qamar, Mr. Masroor, Mrs. Monica Saxena, Ms. Shabnam, Mr. Umair under the Activity In-chargeship of Mrs. Divya Rajkumar Panjwani. A spirit of team work and a gain in learning experience was observed among the students .

Day 3: Friday, 23/02/2018

Third day of community service was under the Day In-chargeship of Dr. Ali Imaam sir with the team of Mrs. Shabnam, Ms. Sadia Shakeel and Mr. Masroor with Overall Activity Incharge Divya RajkumarPanjwani. Day 3 was the day which was enjoyed by all the people presents there the most. The day started with the skit on Women Empowerment, Peom — Bhartiyaho followed by the song Jahan ho pyaar ka mausam, later on a speech was there on Jaan Leva Tambaku, a song 0-re chiraiya and then speech on voting. The most exciting part for the students and people present there was the Games section. The students of university organized games differently under two time slots. One and an half hour to each group was given to play games and then to record the winners of the same. The day ended peacefully with so much of memories from the part of villagers and performers. It was a feeling of collaborative effort.

Day 4: Saturday, 23/02/2018

Saturday was the last day for the community service. Students decorated the school with Rangoli and other materials. A spirit of collaborative effort was seen among all the students, they were very keen for doing all the activities. Mrs. Seema Singh, Head of Primary School, Aadhaar Kheda and other respected teachers were also present at the day. The programme started with a solo song "Ai Malik Tere Bande Hum" by Ruchita Chandra, student of M.Ed. followed by a play on Acid Attack. On demand of student two skits were performed by the students. It was a hard of students to make the programme a huge success without and mis-happening. Everyone enjoyed the whole programme. After the programme there was speech of Dr. Jarrar Ahmed, Head D.E1.Ed., Education Department followed by the speech of Mrs. Seema Singh, Head of Primary School, Aadhaar Kheda. Dr. A.K. Lodi, Head of the Department of Education was requested to deliver few words to raise the enthusiasm of students. Prize Distribution was done to the winners of the games which was held a day before, with help of dignitaries present there to reinforce all the students present at the campus. At the end refreshment was given to the students present there. There was a spirit of excitement among the students a sense of achievement from community and a feeling of giving something to the community was seen in them. The incharge for the day was Dr. E.
