The Department of Community Medicine, Integral Institute of Medical Sciences & Research organized a counselling on vitamin D deficiency on 05-03-2020 at Rural Health and Training Centre (RHTC) Sansarpur, Integral Institute of medical sciences and research (IIMSR), Lucknow.
Vitamin D deficiency can lead to a loss of bone density, which can contribute to osteoporosis and fractures (broken bones). Severe vitamin D deficiency can also lead to other diseases. In children, it can cause rickets. Rickets is a rare disease that causes the bones to become soft and bend. Provision of health counselling is for promoting and maintaining individuals, family and community health.
Total student 26 and 7 faculty & staff participated. Number of students participated: 26
