Ethical Hacking and Information Security

Department of Computer Application, Integral University, Lucknow organized a Two day workshop on “Ethical Hacking and Information Security”, 19-20 Sep 2015 in association with Cyberzone India (P) Ltd. under the aegis of ISTE Chapter. Mr. Mayank Khare, CEO Cyberzone India (P) Ltd and Mr. Sachin Gupta, Director Cyberzone India (P) Ltd was the keynote speaker. The workshop has been specifically designed to provide the right knowledge to the aspiring Hacking and Cyber Security enthusiasts. This workshop explored the various means that an intruder has, to gain access to computer resources. It investigated weaknesses by discussing the theoretical background behind, and whenever possible, actually performing the attack. Ethical hacking is an important tool in many national security agencies and even companies. The Workshop interactively discussed security approaches, projects, and challenges with Cyber Security experts to help address and identify security gap impact and an approach to address comprehensive security architecture with processes, multivendor technologies, and organizational personnel. The duration of the workshop was two consecutive days with eight hours session each day, in a total of sixteen hours properly divided into theory and hand on practical sessions. Mr. Md. Faizan Farooqui, Head, Department of Computer Application inaugurated the workshop. Mr. Md. Faisal, Coordinator ISTE Chapter delivered vote of thanks. Around 75 students and more than 20 faculty members participated in the workshop.
