Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has decided to recognize the contribution of Prof. Mahadeva Lal Schroff for establishing the Pharmacy Education in India by declaring his 'Birth Anniversary'6 March as “National Pharmacy Education Day”.
Prof. M. L. Schroff, is recognized as the Father of Pharmacy Education in India. He certainly remains an ideal to all pharmacists working in this country irrespective of their branches and diversity of duties.
He played a great role in building pharmacy education in India, he also contributed to the development of other aspects of the pharmacy profession. Prof. Schroff started the M. Pharm. Education in 1940 at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) with his efforts. Slowly, pharmacy education sprung up in different places in India.
In this context, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Integral University observed National Pharmacy Education Dayon 06-March-2023. The program was successfully organized a blood donation camp and different awareness campaign drives, discussed as under.
Blood Donation Camp
A voluntary blood donationcamp was successfully organized in collaboration with IIMS&R, Integral University on 06/03/2023 (Monday) to help the patient. A number of volunteers both boys and girls came forward for blood donation and donated blood to the blood bank of IIMS&R. A certificate was issued to all the blood donors.The main focus of the blood donation camp is to raise awareness about the blood donation which help to save life of people.

Awareness Campaigns
Apart from the blood donation camp, a number of awareness campaigns are run in adopted villages on 06/03/2023 (Monday). These villages are Para, Kaurimau and Bhakhamau.
Awareness Campaign on Prevention of Lifestyle Disorder, Cancer, AIDS& Chronic Diseases in Village Para
The motive was to appeal the general public on importance of lifestyle changes in preventing health issues like Diabetes, Hypertension, Cancer,AIDS and other chronic diseases.As a healthcare expert, we, pharmacists, also aware the general public about the importance proper nutrition, regular exercise diet restrictions, early on bed and early rise etc. to prevent life style disorders. Pamphlets based on Prevention of Lifestyle Disorders, Cancer, AIDS were distributed among the general public in village para.

Awareness Campaign on Prevention of Adverse Drug Reactions and Food Drug Reactions in Village Bhakhamau
The motive was to appeal the general public on importance of safe usage of drugs and prevention from adverse reaction reactions adverse food reaction.As a healthcare expert, we, pharmacists, also aware the general public about the importance of taking the right drug, the right time, the right dose, and the right route by right patient. Pamphlets based on Prevention of Adverse Drug Reactions and Food Drug Reactions were distributed among the general public in village Bhakhamau.

Awareness Campaign on Stop of Misuse of Narcotics & Psychotropic Drugs in Village Kauriamau
The motive was to appeal the general public on importance of stop of misuse of Narcotic and Psychotropicdrugs among the young generations. As a healthcare expert, we, pharmacists, also aware the general public about the harmful consequences of Narcotic and Psychotropicdrugs, smoking consumption of alcohol etc., emphasized to abstain from Narcotic and Psychotropicdrugs. Pamphlets based on Stop of Misuse of Narcotics & Psychotropic Drugs were distributed among the general public in village Kauriamau.
