Swami Vivekananda was born as Narendranath Dutta on 12th January 1863. He was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the western world and was credited with raising interfaith awareness. He was a chief disciple of 19th century saint Ramakrishna and founder of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna mission. The 153rd Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda is celebrated all over the country giving a message to the youth the way of life and ideals that will make India a better country in future.
Integral University observed the National Youth Day with the primary aim of sensitizing the students about the philosophies, principles and ideas of Swami Vivekananda. The students were motivated to be good citizens of India, thus contributing to the development of the country.
The Student welfare Committee, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Integral university, Lucknow organized a Webinar on the topic "Philosophy of Swami Vivekananda for the youth upliftment" on 12 January 2021.
The Lecture was delivered by Eminent Speaker Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh, who is a renowned Hindi writer and journalist, agricultural research and communication-transport for three decades. Mr. Singh, has been associated with many prestigious newspapers like Chauthi Duniya, Amar Ujala and Haribhoomi. He also served as an advisor in the Ministry of Railways for three years. Mr. Singh worked as an, Editor of Parliamentary Affairs in Rajya Sabha TV, TV channel of Indian Parliament from 2 August 2011, He was awarded with IFFCO Hindi Sevi Samman, Government of India Education Award, Chaudhary Charan Singh Agricultural Journalism Award and Rural Development Award of Press Council of India. Mr. Singh is also the author of several books, published by National Book Trust of India. His work is also taught in the NCERT eighth grade Hindi course.
The event was systematically Coordinated and welcomed by Dr. Akheela Khanum, head of Department of Computer Science and engineering and the whole event was hosted by Mrs. Nudrat Fatima, Asst. Professor, Department of Computer Science and engineering. The webinar was successful in which 120 candidates were registered from Integral University, Lucknow. The speaker did justice with the topic and emphasized on the inspiring and motivational stories of Swami Vivekananda's Life. Mr. Arvind Kumar Singh made the session more interesting and captivating.
The Programme was well organized by the Student Welfare Committee members, Mrs. Kavita Agarwal, Convener SWC, Mrs. Sheeba Praveen, Nudrat Fatima, Mr. Ijtiba Saleem, Members of SWC. It was a very interesting Day for all of us. We all celebrate the day with a lot with joy and enthusiasm. The experience we got was really amazing and motivational.
