Day 3 of the IDE Bootcamp at Integral University, Lucknow, was a blend of insightful learning and vibrant cultural experiences. The day began with a warm welcome from Dr. Irfaana Raashid, who led the session “Recap of Day 2 & Objective Setting for Day 3: Pitch Your Lean Canvas - An Interactive Feedback Session.” Participants presented their Lean Canvases, receiving constructive feedback to refine their value propositions, customer segments, and revenue streams. The session set a collaborative tone, preparing participants for the upcoming pitch competition.
In the second session, “Revenue Models: Importance and Impact,” Dr. Ahmad Faraz Khan emphasized the critical role of understanding revenue models in developing sustainable business plans. He explored various models, including B2B, Freemium, and Marketplace, guiding participants on aligning revenue streams with their lean canvases. This session provided clarity on revenue generation and pricing strategies, essential for building competitive business plans.
The third session, “Prototype to MVP: Transforming Validation into Actionable Insights,” also led by Dr. Khan, focused on the importance of strategic prototyping. He highlighted the need for clear problem identification before developing prototypes and explained the differences between prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). Participants learned about the utility of prototypes in detecting problems early and gathering customer feedback, ensuring the final product meets market needs.
The day also included a guided tour of Integral University’s facilities. Participants, split into five groups, visited the Integral Computer Centre, the central workshop of the mechanical engineering department, the central instrumentation facility, and various research labs. They were impressed by the Robotics Lab and the Integral Startup Foundation’s Incubator Centre, which supports 21 incubated startups and 23 pre-incubation projects. The tour showcased the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and providing state-of-the-art resources for entrepreneurial development.
The day culminated in a cultural extravaganza, featuring a theatrical performance of Habib Tanvir’s “Charandas Chor” and a musical performance by the Highnote Music Society. The evening’s performances captivated the audience, providing a delightful end to an intense day of learning and collaboration. The cultural evening celebrated the diverse talents within the entrepreneurial community, leaving participants inspired and energized for the days ahead.
