One Week Skill Development Workshop on “Animal Tissue Culture, Chromatographic Techniques and Food Safety & Security”

About the Workshop:
This workshop is designed to provide in-depth theoretical knowledge and hands-on training in modern biotechnology and food safety techniques. It aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industrial applications, helping students enhance their research and professional skills.

Workshop Modules (Optional):
Animal Cell Culture & Chromatographic Techniques

• Preparation of media for animal cell culture

• In vitro maintenance of cell line

• Cell viability (MTT) assay

• Cryopreservation & revival of cell line

• Thin layer chromatography

• Ion exchange chromatography

• High performance liquid chromatography

Food Safety & Security

• Introduction of food safety & hygiene practices (GMP, GHP, HACCP & COP)

• Proximate composition analysis

• Detection of food adulterants in dairy products

• Food quality evolution parameters

• Advanced scientific requirements demonstration

Who Can Attend:
The workshop is open for UG and PG students with backgrounds in Biochemical Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Chemical Engineering & Technology, and Food Technology.

Seats: Limited to 100 candidates (first come, first serve basis).
Students from outside Lucknow may be provided with lodging and boarding facilities in the university hostel on a payment basis.
