"Corporate Training and Capacity Building on Battery Energy Storage System Capacity Development: Challenges and Improvements"
India’s transition to a clean energy future, as outlined in the National Electricity Plan and its net-zero commitment by 2070, requires the integration of large-scale renewable energy supported by robust Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This stakeholder consultation aims to engage academic institutions in identifying skill gaps, mapping institutional capacities, and co-developing strategies for workforce development in the energy storage sector. The program is mapped with SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy because Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are critical for integrating renewable energy sources into the grid, improving energy reliability, and advancing the clean energy transition.
