DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE With THE ENERGY RESEARCH INSTITUTE Is organizing Round Table Discussion/Corporate Training/ Capacity Building for Working Professionals

The Department of Environmental Science, Integral University, Lucknow, in collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), is organizing a Roundtable Discussion with Industry Professionals and Academicians on 29th August 2025 at 11:00am to 1:00pm in Hall 4 of Central Auditorium on the theme:

"Corporate Training and Capacity Building on Battery Energy Storage System Capacity Development: Challenges and Improvements"

India’s transition to a clean energy future, as outlined in the National Electricity Plan and its net-zero commitment by 2070, requires the integration of large-scale renewable energy supported by robust Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This stakeholder consultation aims to engage academic institutions in identifying skill gaps, mapping institutional capacities, and co-developing strategies for workforce development in the energy storage sector. The program is mapped with SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy because Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are critical for integrating renewable energy sources into the grid, improving energy reliability, and advancing the clean energy transition. However, there are few others SDGs too which this event is linked:

SDG 4 – Quality Education (Training/Capacity Building)

SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (Technological advancement)

SDG 13 – Climate Action (Impact of BESS on emissions)

Your active involvement will be instrumental in shaping future strategies for sustainable energy education and professional development.
