The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences is going to organize an Awareness Programme On World Bipolar Day and Related Issues on March 30,2022 .
World Bipolar Day is observed every year on the 30th of March. The vision of World Bipolar Day (WBD) is to bring world awareness to bipolar disorders and to eliminate social stigma. The aim of this observation is to bring to people's notice the struggle that Bipolar disorder brings to people's health, relationships, work, and overall wellbeing. It also aims to throw light on the various stigmas, discriminations, strengths, and support around Bipolar disorder.
This event encompasses of Collage making Competition and a skit presentation by students of Psychology demonstrating Symptoms of people suffering from Bipolar Disorders. Later on the event will be Suffixed by a powerful lecture by Dr Parul Prasad MBBS, M.D. (Psychiatry), practising Psychiatrist at MINDWISE Clinic, Lucknow.
Dr. Parul Prasad has done MD in Psychiatry from Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi and Fellowship in Geriatric Mental Health, King George’s Medical University, Lucknow. She is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Career Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital (Department of Psychiatry), with a history of working in the field of Mental Health. Skilled in Medical Education, Medicine, Research,Psychotherapy, and Hospitals. Strong education professional with a Fellowship focused in Geriatric mental health from King George Medical University.
