The Institutional Ethics Committees of Integral Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (IIMS&R) play the vital role of guiding researchers in the ethical issues associated with their research proposal. The major responsibility of Institutional Ethics Committees is to protect the rights, safety and well-being of the research participants. The Institutional Ethics Committees conducts regular meetings for reviewing the research proposals and give suggestions to the investigators to make their research ethical before approving them. All research projects involving humans should get the approval of Institutional Ethics Committees before conducting the study. The responsibilities of an Institutional Ethics Committees can be as follows:

To protect the dignity, rights and well being of the potential research participants.
To ensure that universal ethical values and International scientific standards are expressed in terms of local community values and customs.
