The Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology organized an Expert lecture titled "Electrical Power & Propulsion" at Hall 1, Central Auditorium, Integral University, Lucknow on 9th December 2022, with the patronage of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Integral University, Prof. Javed Musarrat. The resource person for the expert lecture was Dr. Amit Gupta (PhD, CEng, FIEEE, FIET, FIES), Head of Rolls-Royce Electrical at Rolls-Royce Singapore Pte. Ltd. Adjunct Professor, NUS, NTU of Singapore & IIT Roorkee. He has more than 20 years of experience in academics & aircraft domain.
Dr Amit Gupta discussed how Rolls-Royce is developing, testing, and innovating technologies and systems together with partners to create the electric propulsion and energy systems for tomorrow and shared information on development projects for future aircrafts.He talked about the potential of flying electric vehicles and the need for sustainable technologies that can become part of daily lives. “The Rolls-Royce Holdings is proud of its projects for cleaner and greener aircrafts, which will allow people to fly as they do now, but in a way that cuts emissions”, he said.The guest lecture was attended by the HoDs of Faculty of Engineering & IT, faculty members, staff members and students of the university.
Dr. M. Alam, Head, Department of Electrical Engineering delivered the welcome address and stressed the collaboration of industry and academia in achieving a sustainable future.
Prof. M. A. Mallick, Chairman, DQAC, Department of Electrical Engineering, delivered the vote of thanks and discussed the importance of engaging with industry experts.
An interactive session between the Invited Expert, HoDs of Faculty of Engineering & IT and Director, CCGND, was also undertaken to explore the possibility of collaboration between Integral University and Rolls Royce company.The program was successfully coordinated by Mr. Mohd. Kashif Khan, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. Asif Jamil Ansari, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, Dr. M. M. Shadab, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering. and Dr. F. A. Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering.
