Under the Mission Shakti Abhiyaan, the Department of Pathology, Integral Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (IIMSR), Integral University, Lucknow, organized a Nukkad Natak on 20 November 2025 to promote the safety, dignity, and self-reliance of women and girls.
The street play effectively portrayed real-life situations through impactful dialogues and relatable performances, highlighting critical issues such as harassment, discrimination, and the social barriers faced by women in everyday life. The initiative aimed to sensitize the community, encourage reflection on prevailing social norms, and foster collective responsibility toward ensuring gender equality and safer environments for women.
The program also emphasized the significance of education, self-defense, legal awareness, and confidence-building as essential tools for empowering girls and women. The activity witnessed active participation and appreciation from students, faculty members, and the audience, reinforcing the university’s commitment to social responsibility and women empowerment.
