The Department of ENT, Integral Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (IIMSR), Integral University organized a guest lecture on the occasion of World Hearing Day on 5th March 2026 at LT-9, Fifth Floor, Phase II, IIMSR from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The programme was conducted under the global theme “From Communities to Classrooms: Hearing Care for All Children”, with the objective of spreading awareness regarding hearing health and the importance of early hearing care among children.
The lecture witnessed active participation from MBBS students, faculty members, residents, and interns of IIMSR. The session commenced with an introductory address by Dr. Ranveer Singh, Professor and Head, Department of ENT, IIMSR, who highlighted the significance of World Hearing Day and emphasized the need for accessible hearing healthcare services for children and communities.
The guest lecture was delivered by Dr. Manoj Gola, Professor & Head, Department of ENT, Prasad Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow. During the session, the speaker discussed various aspects of hearing healthcare, including early detection of hearing problems, preventive measures, awareness regarding hearing disorders among children, and the role of educational institutions and communities in ensuring timely intervention and support.
The lecture proved to be highly informative and beneficial for the participants, enhancing their understanding of hearing health, preventive care, and community awareness initiatives. The programme concluded successfully with active engagement from attendees and reinforced the importance of promoting inclusive and accessible hearing care for all children.
