World Book & Copyright Day Observed at Integral University

The Literary Club, Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Planning & Design (FoAPD), Integral University, Lucknow organized World Book & Copyright Day on 23rd April 2026 with the theme “5-Minute Reading Campaign”. The event was conducted in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 04 – Quality Education and 17 – Partnership for the Goals.

World Book & Copyright Day is celebrated globally every year on 23rd April to promote the importance of books, reading, publishing, and copyright protection. The day also commemorates renowned literary figures including William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes, highlighting the significance of literature in preserving culture, knowledge, and creativity across generations.

To mark the occasion, the Faculty organized a Book Exhibition in the Departmental Library of FoAPD. The exhibition featured books on diverse subjects including Interior Design, Sustainability, Planning Theories, History of Civilization, and related disciplines authored by both national and international writers.

Students were encouraged to visit the library throughout the day and participate in the “5-Minute Reading Campaign”by dedicating at least five minutes to reading a book of their choice. The initiative aimed to promote reading habits and encourage students to explore literature beyond academics.

The event was coordinated by Ar. Fahad Aslam, Assistant Professor, under the aegis of the Literary Club, Faculty of Architecture, Planning & Design. The programme was successfully conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Ar.) Zeba Nisar, Dean, Faculty of Architecture, Planning & Design and Prof. (Dr.) Safiullah Khan, Head, Department of Architecture.
