World Malaria Day

The Department of Community Medicine, Integral Institute of Medical Sciences and Research commemorated "World Malaria Day", under ‘National Vector Born Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP)’, on 25-04-2018 at Urban Health Training Centre (UHTC) Sarvodaya Nagar, Lucknow.

World Malaria Day, annual observance held on April 25 to raise awareness of the global effort to control and ultimately eradicate malaria. World Malaria Day is observed to recognize the existence of malaria in countries worldwide and to bring greater awareness to the global fight against the disease. Theme of year 2018 is, "Ready To Beat Malaria".

All participants were given information about antilarval measures, use of mosquito net, mosquito repellents, common symptoms of malaria, its diagnosis and treatment.
